He's listening

Well first off I will have you all know that I have included, for my beloved Father, a picture of our now spotless stove, don't worry Pops I did it for you... and also in order to get rid of that horrendous smell that previously filled our kitchen, good heavens it was awful!

But in other news this week was work, work, work, and I LOVED IT!!!!! We will start with
Monday: I cleaned the stove... and now on to
Tuesday.

Tuesday two things happened, first I was assigned to teach part of our district class on being bold in extending invitations, let me just tell all of you a little secret, being bold in extending commitments has become my favorite thing to do, I just feel so filled with the power of God every time I do it and its good power because I am just trying to help everyone be happy, like Moriah (she is always happy, and hungry, REALLY hungry). But it was awesome to be able to boldly testify about the importance of being bold. But then later that day I had an opportunity to put my preaching into practice. About a month earlier we found a family of 5, we talked to the mom (Isabel) on the street and went by and taught them, but then they left on vacation for an entire month, when they returned we went by and taught them, it was an alright lesson, but they committed to come to church (more on them to come).

Wednesday:  we worked super hard with the members and today received three references from them (for a total of 8 in the week)!!!

trying to eat all the members give to us...
Thursday: SOCCER NIGHT!!! Today we played soccer at the church and two of the kids from the family we found came and played with us (fellow shipping, that's what's up!!) Also I can truly testify that whether the Latinos will admit it or not, my soccer game is improving to a level to rival that of the legendary Uncle Aaron.

Friday: Oh man, we returned to the house of Isabel and her children, but we did not come alone. We showed up equipped with the most powerful member in our ward (Sister Maurer) and the DVD of the restoration. Tears were shed, testimonies born, and four baptism dates were accepted!!!

Saturday:  was spent in the service of the members, painting fences, leveling terrain, shaving dogs... alright we didn't do that last one, but I am sure someone will ask us one day.

Done!...good thing I play soccer as much as I do or I might be HUGE
when I return.
My companion has gain 50 Lbs while on his mission.
Sunday: Always a day of miracles. I had been praying with all my heart and soul all week that Isabel and her family would not just come to church, but that they would come and feel as though they were returning home. And so it was. God heard his servant's cry and responded. After church on Sunday we had a lesson with Isabel and her family and she told us that she has been to many Churches trying to find one that was right, she's even been to a Mormon church many years ago, but she said that when she entered the church this day that she felt for the first time in her entire life as though she was at home. Never before had she felt the peace and the comfort that she felt in the church. God is listening and he is responding, we just have to take a step back and see that he is responding.
I love all of you, we will see what this week has in store. Remember there is no greater happiness that helping a stray lamb return to the fold.
Con mucho amor,
