Lets get down to business

Alright folks fun time is over lets cut to the chase, obedience.

That is what it all comes down to and boy do I love being an obedient companionship. For the first time in my mission (besides with my trainer) I feel like there is time to be obedient and work as well as make the work wicked fun! This week my companion and I begun to do some contacts just asking if people were members of our church and if they responded no, WHAT! WELL WHY NOT!?!?!?! Surprising were the responses that we received. From I'm catholic to well I just don't have too much time, to well....wow I never thought of that... Well as results we now are teaching a young man who had no idea why he has wasted time not being a member and is now working towards changing that. Hernàn is a twenty year old young man who has no direction in his life and simply isn't too happy, but he is looking for that direction and he has found it, here, in the restored church of Jesus Christ. He came to church and to several activities that we have had this past week. It is awesome.

More than that is we are super excited to talk to everyone and boy are there some interesting people out here. From REALLY catholic old ladies, to drunk men to people who are looking for direction.

Last night we were walking down the street and it was pretty dark out and in the distance we could see a drunk man struggling on his way home. The natural man within me said, well its his fault he has to suffer the consequences, but then the spirit called me to repentance and would not let me pass his by, I was directed to do as Chirst would have done. So my companion took the mans bike and I took the man who could hardly stand up straight and we began the trek home together. (This is what Christ means when he says look for the lost sheep and take it home ON YOUR SHOULDERS) When we arrived at his home we discovered his less active member wife and three children on theirs (two of which are less active) They went inactive in another area so there is no way we would have found them unless we had helped this man. God knows what we wants and his ways are mysterious but they always work, always.

I love each and everyone of you,
Elder Hutchins
