The Spiritual side of things.

Well a lot happened this week I guess I will just start with...
Zone soccer game
Monday: Last Monday we decided that in order to help the members be more prompt to help us and participate in the "obra misional" or missionary work that we first had to help them to understand the Atonement of Jesus Christ. So we went to some members and did just that ending each lesson with a question that each member of each family had to answer: If Jesus Christ was willing to give and sacrifice so much for us, even everything that he had, what then, are we willing to give or to sacrifice for him? A thought provoking soul searching question. What are we willing to give to him? Two years or 18 months? That should be the minimum.

Tuesday: Today we has an exchange, I was with a new Perubian who is full of energy. Good golly gosh batman, we contacted literally everyone and I loved every single minute of it. Chasing and waving down people on cars, calling drunk less actives to repentance, it was just a fun and energetic day.

Wednesday: The family we found that came to church Sunday had a few problems today, the mom went to Santiago for the whole week to be with her husband and today one of the daughters came home a little late (we will leave it at that) but the member we are working with to help fellowship them went over to their house and good gosh she did our job, but still there were consequences, one of those being that they had to go to stay at their grandma's house until Sunday afternoon, meaning that they did not come to church this Sunday... dang nab it. But working with members is really nice, it makes everything a little slower, but easier and 100 times more sure, worth it!

Thursday: Thursday is just kinda Thursday, not quite Friday but not Wednesday either, we didn't do too much just a bunch of service chopping wood, painting, preaching repentance to a wicked and perverse generation.

Friday: Today we had a killer lesson with the Riquelme family, killer because I felt great. Pretty much we went in there and told them that their plans to leave again this weekend was only stopping their progression. We asked Elizabeth why she thought it was important to be baptized, she told us practically,  'Well we don't know when Jesus is going to come again and if I don't get baptized when he comes I won't be able to join him, I'll be cast out , won't be able to be with my family, and be miserable for the eternity '...Wow, that is exactly what I was going to say... At the end I asked her if going to the country for the weekend was going to help her family become an eternal family.....nope. But then we left the decision up to them, they chose poorly.

Saturday: Today we taught a lot of lessons at the active members and asked one simply question, Why do the missionaries always ask the members for referals? Its a good question and we received a lot of good answers, but none of them were correct. We, as missionaries ask for referals because we know of the blessings that come from participating in missionary work, we have felt and are feeling it everyday the joy that can come and we want every member to feel that joy as well. So we ask for referals because we want the members to be truly happy. So give referals to the missionaries people, it will make you happy. I promise.
